Sophie Kipling is a new member of the Reimagining Justice Lab, working on the Hidden Sentences History team. Sophie is a Sociology major and member of the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst, currently completing her thesis project. She has also completed a Social Work Certification, hoping to become a social worker after graduating. Sophie is passionate about interpersonal relationships, helping others, and applying sociological theories to individual experiences. The Reimagining Justice Lab reinforces her interests in criminology, social justice, and the criminal justice system. In addition to her academic pursuits, Sophie is a member of Stage Crew Dance Team, and loves cooking and weightlifting in her free time.
