Sophia Spyrou (she/her) has been a research assistant with the Reimagining Justice Lab as part of the Legal Training Team since the Summer of 2025, and is pursuing a Sociology and Gender Studies Double Major at Smith College. She has plans to attend law school, with her legal niche resting within law’s intersection of gender and international diplomacy. Informed by her experience from her home country of Cyprus, her interests lie in understanding how legal frameworks can advance gender equity on a transnational scale, as well as how diplomatic efforts through policy development and legal advocacy can be bolstered through a human-rights approach.

Sophia Spyrou also works at her school’s Career Center as a Peer Advisor, and volunteers as a language tutor for a bi-communal virtual youth initiative situated back home. In her free time, she enjoys reading, discovering new music, and spending time with friends and family.
