Wil Spencer (he/him) is a member of the Reimagining Justice Lab and a part of the Hidden Sentencing Digitization Research Team in the Fall of 2024. He is currently studying Sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is pursuing a certificate in Criminology and the Criminal Justice System as well. He is passionate about the connections between social interactions and the legal system, and how understanding the relationships they have can be used as a tool to examine the assumptions and prejudices that are made about people who commit crimes. He plans to get his masters in Criminology and hopes to find work in advocacy and education within the criminal justice system.

Wil Spencer is also a member of the Prison Abolition Collective at UMass, a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and is joining the UMass Crew team this semester. In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, hanging out with his friends, and lying in the sun.
