Vanessa Isbrandt (she/her) was a member of the Reimagining Justice Lab as a part of the Hidden Sentencing Qualitative Research Team from the Summer of 2022 to 2024 while studying Political Science and Sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is additionally pursuing certificates in International Relations and International Studies, on the Pre-Law Track. She is passionate about the intersections of justice, history, law and how understanding these patterns can be tools for investigating strategies for sustainable development and equality. She plans on attending law school to study International Human Rights Law.
Vanessa is also a member of the UMass Women’s Rugby Team, and in her free time enjoys working out, playing sports, and spending time with friends and family.
