Mackenzie Marshall was a part of the Reimagining Justice Lab in 2024 on the Digitization team, while studying Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She is in the process of deciding either a double major in Sociology, or doing a minor in it while perusing the Criminology Certificate. She has always had an interest in the Criminal Justice System and plans to work in a prison when she one day completes her graduate degrees. Her interest is in specially the mental states of people in prison, what led to their choice in crime, and how prison life is impacting their behaviors post-incarceration, and how that would impact their likelihood of success upon release, and what could be done to prevent negative outcomes.
Mackenzie is also a member of a few of the on Campus bands, and enjoys playing the clarinet, and tenor saxophone. During her free time she likes to relax with family and friends, and give her pets all the love and attention the deserve.
