Kate Pepper (she/her) started working as part of the Reimagining Justice Lab since Fall 2022. Since then, she has been apart of the Legislative Tracing Teams– Data Matching and Training Data, as well as the Hidden Sentence History Team. She is a sociology major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, working towards receiving a certificate in Social Research Analysis. She is interested in social inequalities in mental health and in the criminal justice system.

Outside of being a research assistant, Kate likes to spend time with her cat, write, and play the guitar.
