Genesis Lopez De Leon (she/her) is a member of the Qualitative Team at the Reimagining Justice Lab as part of the hidden sentences research project for the Fall Semester of 2023 while studying at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. While working with the team, she also worked for the College Planning Collaborative, partnering with Framingham State and Massbay Community College. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Sociology and Psychology from Massbay CC and is working towards her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology.

Genesis aims to help children and families, specifically, those underrepresented in a system that continues to fail them. After working with children throughout her high school and college career, she is eager to be the voice for those who do not have the resources to speak for themselves.

She hopes to enter Social Work and eventually law school to study family law. She enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and running in her free time. She also enjoys the company of her friends and those close to her.
