Ben Long-Bellil (he/him) has been a Research Assistant for the Reimagining Justice Lab as a part of the Hidden Sentencing Data Matching Team since the spring semester of 2025. Ben studies Psychology with a minor in Anthropology while also pursuing a certificate in Criminal Justice at The University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is passionate about criminal justice and forensics and how they are intertwined with psychology/sociology. He is fascinated by driving factors for people’s actions and why criminals are motivated to carry out deviant behavior.
Ben is the secretary of the Sociology Club and enjoys playing intramural sports when his knee isn’t cumbering him. In his free time, Ben likes to work out, watch movies, attend UMass Sports Games, and yap.
