
Alia Alami (she/her) is a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Mathematics with a concentration in Data Science and Statistics. She has a strong interest in leveraging statistical analysis and machine learning to address real-world challenges.
Born and raised in a Palestinian family, her background deeply informs her perspective on justice, inequality, and data-driven advocacy. She is passionate about using statistical analysis to uncover structural disparities, particularly in education, finance, and global human rights. Her experiences navigating issues of identity and representation fuel her interest in research that challenges systemic inequities and amplifies marginalized voices. Beyond academics, she enjoy exploring different cultures through language and travel.
