Nylah (she/her) is a junior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst majoring in Legal Studies and Sociology, with a minor in Psychology and a certificate in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She is a member of the Reimagining Justice Lab, where she works on the legal tracing and data-matching team. Through her academics, she has developed a strong interest in how law, policy, and data can be used to challenge systemic inequities and promote social justice. She plans to pursue law school, with the long-term goal of combining legal practice and social work to advance equity and access to justice.

Outside of academics, Nylah works as an SBS Peer Mentor and Admissions Diversity Fellow on the UMass Campus, and enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends and family, and reading thriller novels.
