Jiana Qin (she/her) joined the Reimagining Justice Lab as a member of the Genocide History Team in the Spring of 2026. She is a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she majors in psychology and pursues sociology as a secondary major. Jiana is deeply drawn to the intersections of psychology, sociology, and justice, eager to explore how these forces shape people’s beliefs, behaviors, and lived experiences. She is particularly interested in how traumatic, unjust, or disempowering experiences impact individuals and communities, and in developing approaches that foster healing and mental well‑being. In her free time, Jiana enjoys listening to IU’s music, watching TV, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends and family.
