Hiya Dagli (she/her) is a Data Science and Statistics major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst who works with the Reimagining Justice Lab’s Digitization Team, which she joined in Spring 2026. With a background in data organization and technology, she is interested in how digitization can transform historical and legal records into tools for critical inquiry, accountability and public understanding. She is additionally pursuing a minor in Information Technology and is especially drawn to projects that sit at the intersection of data, justice and research accessibility.
Outside of the lab, Hiya is involved with HackHer413 and works as a Communications Assistant in the College of Education. In her free time, she enjoys trying new cuisines, spending time with friends and playing board games.
