I’m Christiana Amalia Koncir, but I go by Amalia! This is my first year at UMass as well as my first year in the research program. I’m currently a sociology major, but plan to double major and add on political science. I’ve always had a passion for public speaking, and want to use my voice for the benefit of those left without someone to speak for them. In my free time— when I have it —I love to go hiking, paddle boarding, make arts and crafts(such as collages and scrap), go for runs, and bake! Funny enough, the photo I picked to put on those google form is from my trip to Washington State this summer, where I hiked both Mount Rainier and Olympic!
I also row, and have been rowing for the past four years in my high school career. I was recruited around this time last year, and spent my first two days on campus with my team!
